Using a skill you acquired or honed at the retreat: share a photo or video of participants in their natural habitat–having fun with friends, networking with colleagues, or even exploring New Paltz.

Capture a photo of a retreat presenter and share the powerful quote, key takeaway, or strategy you hope to implement. In your caption, be sure to include the session title and speaker name!

Share a “Did-you-know” style photo or video with an interesting fact or information about a fellow retreat participant or sponsor. Highlight a special talent, a career milestone, or even a fun fact!

Record a 30-second video sharing a tip, hack, or piece of wisdom with fellow retreat participants using a mini microphone, located at the Class Intercom table. Be sure to include your name, role, and organization.

How It Works

Step 01

Choose a Challenge

Review the five Content Challenge prompts above.

Step 02

Click “Submit”

Click the Submit button under the challenge you’d like to participate in and complete the quick sign-up form.

Step 03

Check Your Email

You’ll receive a confirmation email with a personalized link to upload your content.

Step 04

Capture & Upload

Use the link to upload your photos or videos. Add notes and/or captions.

Content Requirements

What to Submit

  • Original photos or videos captured during the East Coast Social Media for Schools Retreat
  • Content that aligns with one of the five challenge prompts
  • Authentic moments from sessions, networking, exhibits, or informal interactions

Photo Guidelines

  • High-quality images preferred
  • Clear subject and good lighting
  • No graphics required, capture authentic moments

Video Guidelines

  • 15–60 seconds recommended
  • Vertical format preferred (for social media use)
  • Clear audio when possible
  • Can be raw footage (no professional editing required)

Captions & Notes

  • Include a short description providing context
  • Add names, schools/districts, or city when possible

Important Notes

  • Only submit content you captured yourself
  • Ensure individuals in your photos/videos are comfortable being featured
  • Content may be used by #SocialSchool4EDU, Ulster BOCES, and Class Intercom for future promotional purposes

Submissions will be reviewed based on outlined criteria.

Winners will be announced on the final day of the retreat.
