I didn’t know Anika before I saw a video she created on her own during our high school football championship game this year. Immediately, I connected with her and got her set up to record hype videos for our basketball teams. Throughout the season, she would blend in-game videos with the work she had captured prior to the season.
During one game in particular, she took the initiative to highlight a fundraiser night for a student who is battling cancer. She took clips from the game, the crowd and players wearing green, as well as other aspects of what was happening that night and made a recap video that was shared across all of our major platforms. This was a great opportunity to showcase how the district and it’s opponent that night rallied around the family.
Anika is regularly up for new opportunities and I can’t wait to see her growth as she moves on to college next year!
