LINCOLN, Neb.April 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Class Intercom and its parent company, Social Assurance, announce a partnership with Nextdoor, the essential neighborhood network. The partnership effectively streamlines the setup process for schools interested in claiming and activating their Nextdoor pages–opening up the platform to schools interested in reaching the app’s more than 45 million weekly active users through local, relevant content.

Nextdoor is the essential neighborhood network, designed for connecting neighbors to their local neighborhood communities. Individuals, organizations, and businesses use the platform to engage with others and share information about local happenings. Through the partnership, Class Intercom (a division of Social Assurance) will streamline the setup process for schools looking to claim and activate their Nextdoor profiles. Built specifically to help schools manage all aspects of school social media, the platform provides a secure, central location for school and district accounts across social networks. Through an API integration between the two solutions, schools utilizing Nextdoor are also able to actively manage their Nextdoor pages via Class Intercom, including content creation and publishing, moderation, and the automatic archival of communications that happen through the platform.

“Schools serve to shape, inspire and educate our children, but they are also core connectors in our local communities,” said Kelsey Grady, Head of Global Communications at Nextdoor. “Through this partnership, more schools can now easily leverage Nextdoor as a direct communications channel and help neighbors more easily stay connected to information that is critical to their daily, local lives.”

“Our aim is to streamline content creation and distribution, overall management, and engagement across social channels for schools and school districts,” explains Ben Pankonin, CEO and Founder of Social Assurance and Class Intercom. “We’re eager to include Nextdoor among those channels and confident schools will find value in using it to continue to engage locally with families and citizens.”
