Because everyone deserves to hear, see, and understand school stories.
Web accessibility isn’t just mandated; it’s our responsibility. It ensures every student, family member, and community member can connect with key information and stories, no matter how they access them. From websites and social media to PDFs, flyers, and videos, accessibility is about inclusion and connection.
At Class Intercom, we believe making digital content accessible should be second nature, not because the law says so but because it’s the right thing to do.

New Regulations for 2026 & Beyond
In 2024, new regulations were introduced for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with digital accessibility standards for state and local governments, including public schools and districts. These rules apply to websites, mobile apps, social media, PDFs, flyers, videos, and more—all the ways your community connects with your school online.
Districts must comply based on population demographics:
Districts in areas with more than 50,000 people must comply by April 2026.
Districts in areas with fewer than 50,000 people must comply by April 2027.
To be technically compliant, schools will need to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards. On a more human level, this means removing barriers so everyone—students, families, staff, and community members—can fully access the stories, information, and resources your school shares.
How Class Intercom Can Help
Ensuring accessibility across all your digital content can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Our goal with All in for Accessibility is to provide ongoing help and resources during this critical time, so you can focus on telling your stories with confidence.
Here’s how Class Intercom is supporting schools as they prepare for 2026 and beyond:
