ISTE18: What’s Your Commitment to Digital Citizenship in 2018?

By June 29, 20182 min read

Joining over 24,000 education professionals, our team attended the 2018 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference. Hosted this year in Chicago, the Windy City served as a beautiful backdrop for learning, networking and eating plenty of deep dish pizza.

Within moments of the conference opening, ISTE CEO Richard Culatta, challenged attendees to see a new world in which each educator took digital citizenship to a new level. He specifically called out the difference between online safety and digital citizenship, stating that digital citizenship is not about a list of DON’TS. Instead, digital citizenship is about a list of DO’S.

Culatta challenged every attendee to consider making a commitment to expand digital citizenship in 2018 and to share those responses on social media by using the hashtag #DigCitCommit

Here are some of our favorite commitments to digital citizenship in 2018. #DigCitCommit
